
Spanish Paprika Seafood Paella
Features: Smoked Paprika & Bay Leaves
Ingredients
- 2 Tbsp olive oil
- 1 onion chopped
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 1 cup Arborio or Bomba rice
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
- 2 cups seafood broth
- 1/4 tsp saffron threads optional
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 cup shrimp peeled and deveined
- 1 cup mussels or clams
- 1/2 cup peas
- Lemon wedges parsley (garnish)
Instructions
- Heat oil in a large skillet or paella pan. Sauté onion and garlic until soft.
- Stir in rice and smoked paprika. Toast 1–2 minutes.
- Add broth, saffron, and bay leaf. Bring to boil.
- Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer 15 minutes.
- Add seafood and peas; cook 10 minutes until seafood is cooked through.
- Let rest 5 minutes. Garnish with lemon and parsley.
