Instructions
Rinse lentils under cold water.
In a pot, heat oil. Sauté onion, garlic, cumin, and turmeric until fragrant.
Add lentils, tomato, and water. Bring to boil.
Reduce heat, simmer uncovered 20–25 minutes until lentils are soft.
Add salt to taste and garnish with cilantro.
